Lapauw International, based in Kortrijk, Belgium, has been a manufacturer and supplier of commercial and industrial laundry equipment supplying a global customer base since 1950.
The company was originally established in 1933 as a manufacturer and supplier of pumps and compressors to the world-famous Flemish textile industry. Then, in 1950, having gained a reputation for innovative engineering, they developed their first ironer for the commercial and industrial laundry industry. Furthermore, by also providing solutions to enhance their customers’ performance, Lapauw International became a highly respected manufacturer and supplier in the global market with an established customer base in over 60 countries to date.
In 2010 the Lapauw family sold the company to renowned Belgian entrepreneur Philippe D’heygere. Now known as Lapauw International, the company has gone from strength to strength having developed its market position due to the ongoing investment in its engineering, research and development, manufacturing, and sales and marketing functions.
Under the leadership of Philippe D’heygere and his wife Sylvie D’heygere (CEO), over 8,000 machines have now been supplied to the global market. The company has further developed its reputation based on innovative solutions and build quality where they have not compromised their standards in supplying and supporting their customer base.

Lapauw International has its global headquarters in Kortrijk, Belgium, at its 230,000 square foot manufacturing facility. Lapauw International has company-owned offices in the USA, France, Eastern Europe, China, and the Asia Pacific region, all supported by a robust worldwide dealer network. 2022 brings the further development of Lapauw International’s global presence, with the creation of Lapauw UK.
A subsidiary of Lapauw International, Lapauw UK has been established to show the company’s commitment to the UK and Irish markets.
Lapauw International has identified Lancashire-based Laundry Engineering Services Limited (LES Ltd) to support them in aftersales and service provision in the UK and Ireland. LES is led by John Haden and Paul Haden who between them have an extensive knowledge of the UK and Irish laundry market. Together with their team of experienced laundry engineers throughout the UK they offer a full nationwide range of support services to the UK and Irish commercial and industrial laundry sectors.
LES will also be providing the installation and aftersales services on behalf of Lapauw UK as well as holding and supplying Lapauw parts to the existing and future customer base.

- Nationwide engineering cover
- Breakdown servicing
- Project management (installations/ removals)
- Pipework installations
- Gas servicing
- General engineering and fabrications.
